It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you all to the first and the current edition of Wide Angle, a students' magazine brought to you by the Department of Biological Sciences at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Sciences, Mumbai.

This project has been in the making for a long time, and after hibernating for a few months, it is LIVE! Thus everyone who has contributed to making this endeavour a success deserves a shout-out. All the sections of this magazine are of the students, by the students, and for the students. However, the unwavering support of our rich and diverse alumni deserves a special mention.
